From The Artists
"Otter Cliff stands an impressive 110feet high in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island in Maine. It is truly spectacular, offering magnificent views of the Atlantic. Standing high atop the cliff, the day was filled with intermittent showers and a glorious thick fog enveloped the park. Traversing the cliff top, I came across a low-lying trough where rain had collected alongside the granite rock. I found the contrast of the jagged rock against the quiet stillness of the water to be exquisite. The clefts in the granite, its variation in form, texture, and shadow all created a landscape in miniature. The reflection of the granite falling on smooth water under lighting softly diffused by the surrounding fog, made for a successful composition; a fortuitous moment capturing the splendor of our natural environment."
